People Operations Consultant

Due to internal progression, we have an opportunity within our People Operations team for a People Operations Consultant that can make a real impact across all our services. This position is Fixed Term for 12 months.

Mo te tūranga | About the role:

In this role youll be at the heart of our people experience, providing first line support to managers and employees on our people processes, policies and services. Youll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee changes onto our People systems.

You will take ownership for inbound queries to provide informed, tailored advice and exceptional service to our internal customers. You will manage a large variety of administration tasks, including updating various people systems with absolute accuracy; preparing employment agreements, on-boarding/cessation documentation and contributing to weekly and monthly reporting for the business unit and People team stakeholders.

• Youll be a proactive team player that is self-motivated and is comfortable taking initiative.
• Youll have great communication skills and will be confident to share your ideas whilst taking onboard the views of others.
• Youll be dealing with sensitive data and will be able to maintain complete confidentiality.
• High attention to detail and maintaining accuracy whilst working on urgent tasks is a must for this role.
• You have a pragmatic approach that enables you to solve problems quickly and provide specialised, reliable support to mitigate risk.
• You will be highly systems driven and will need to be able to switch context amongst a mix of day-to-day support tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience within a people, operations or service management environment is highly desirable.
