Connexa is New Zealands leading mobile tower infrastructure company, driven by a mission to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably. Our tower portfolio of 2,400 covers Mangōnui to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.

Kiwis mobile data use has increased dramatically in recent years and demand for mobile services continues to grow. The Connexa team is focused on ensuring Aotearoa is keeping up with this increasing demand, both today and into the future, by building an additional 800 towers over the next eight years to support the required growth in coverage and capacity.

Connexa has an ambitious forward build programme, and this is an exciting opportunity to bring your Drafting skills from within the structural and civil space to the table, to play a part in the design of new passive mobile towers and infrastructure and the improvement of existing assets.

As Draftsperson youll be working alongside Deployment Engineers and Structural Engineers from within the business to design & draft tower specifications built to suit; with design teams of external service companies to prepare and document structural designs for engineering projects as well as oversee upgrades and new site build work. This position is based in our modern Auckland CBD office and offers a fun, inclusive, and flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CAD drawings and documentation for new mobile towers and infrastructure upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and project stakeholders to gather project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure that all drawings meet industry standards and comply with relevant regulations.
• Maintain organized drawing records and documentation for all projects.
• Contribute to enhancing drafting processes and standards within the team.
• Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD or similar programs.
• Previous experience in drafting for civil or structural engineering projects.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and industry regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing concurrent projects.
• Experience in the telecommunications sector is advantageous but not essential.
