Health and Safety advisor (part-time)

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct field-based compliance and monitoring checks across various operational areas.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on safe work practices, procedures, and operations.
• Support management and teams to achieve best practices and high performance in health and safety.
• Manage safety systems, including data entry, PPE management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement safe work methods and controls.
• Oversee and guide risk assessments and work permits for high-risk activities.
• Monitor and report on health & safety progress, providing resourceful solutions to enhance performance.
• Coach and mentor internal stakeholders, including senior managers and functional line managers, to further instil a culture of safety excellence.

What youll need:

• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Proven experience in conducting compliance checks and providing expert safety advice.
• Excellent operational skills and the ability to influence and guide others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to balance competing demands and prioritise strategic needs.
• Flexibility to respond to changes in work and shifts in focus as required.
